Performance Analysis
Performance Analysis shows how your ability in a specific exercise changes over time
using data from completed workouts that include that exercise.
Each completed workout contributes one data point to your history. Alero analyses all completed sets
to calculate totals, averages, and trends so you can understand real progress — not just single-session results.
The progress chart visualises how your performance changes across workouts.
Single Mode
Displays one metric using real values from each workout session.
Compare Mode
Multiple metrics are normalised to percentages so different types of data
(weight, reps, volume) can be compared on the same scale.
Each point on the chart represents:
- One completed workout containing this exercise
- The total performance for that workout
Available metrics:
- Reps: Total reps completed across all finished sets in the workout
- Weight: Total weight lifted across all finished sets
- Volume: Sum of (weight × reps) for all completed sets
- Avg Volume / Set: Average workload per completed set
At least two completed workouts are required to display the chart.
Completed Sets Only
Only sets marked as completed contribute to analysis results.
Volume (per set)
Volume = reps × weight
Workout Volume
The sum of volume from all completed sets in a workout.
Average Reps per Set
Total reps ÷ number of completed sets
Average Weight per Set
Total weight ÷ number of completed sets
Average Volume per Set
Total volume ÷ number of completed sets
All-Time Volume
Sum of volume from every completed set across all workouts.
Best Session Volume
The workout with the highest total volume.
Best Set (Weighted Exercises)
The completed set with the highest weight.
If multiple sets use the same weight, the set with more reps is chosen.
Best Set (Bodyweight Exercises)
The set with the highest number of completed reps.
Total Weight
Sum of weight used across all completed sets.
Total Reps
Sum of all completed repetitions.
Success Rate
Completed sets ÷ scheduled sets × 100
Volume Change
Percentage change between your first and most recent workout volume.
Alero adapts analysis depending on the type of exercise.
Bodyweight Exercises
- Focus on repetitions
- Best Set = highest reps
- Weight-based stats are not shown
Weighted Exercises
- Track weight, reps, and volume
- Performance is measured by workload over time
Analysis appears once enough data exists.
- You must complete at least one workout containing the exercise
- The chart requires two or more workout instances
- Only completed sets are analysed
